What does E S L mean?

E S L stands for English as a Second Language.

ESL programs are the most popular programs at VIA. Our small class sizes allow students to speak much more than in schools with bigger classes. A combination of the four skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) in addition to grammar, idioms, phrasal verbs, and pronunciation help our students improve their speaking skills quickly and effectively. Lessons are based on interesting topics, and class discussions and projects support learning natural communication skills.

1 - Level Certificate courses are 3 months;

2 - Regular certificates are based on the number of classroom hours.

Full-time: Monday to Friday
9:00 - 12:00, 1:00 - 3:00 (25 hours / week)
Semi-time: Monday - Thursday
9:00 - 12:00, 1:00 - 3:00 (20 hours / week)
Part-time Mornings: Monday - Friday
9:00 - 12:00 (15 hours / week)
Part-time Afternoons: Monday - Friday
1:00 - 3:00 (10 hours / week)

VIA ESL classes are centered around a main text with clear targets. This text is supported with additional material and activities. Students will be placed in an ESL class best suited to their level, abilities, needs, and expectations.
