To be eligible to apply for the VIA Co-op Program , the student must graduate from an upper-intermediate ESL program and or a Business English / International Business certificate program. You must be a high school graduate and demonstrate that you have previously applied for and secured part / full-time job or a volunteer position in the past.
It is important to know that the study program must be completed before the work program begins and the student cannot work while they are in the study program.
Work positions are varied and include mobile phone sales, real estate, computer technology, international business development, coffee shop retail, hotel staff, restaurant, and horticulture. Please contact VIA for more information regarding job placement.
Registration Steps
- Register and take an assessment test at VIA (or provide a standardized test score, such as TOEFL,TOEIC, IELTS, CAEL etc.).
- Complete the VIA Co-op application form and make the administration payment.
- Process study visa and co-op visa with a VIA co-op coordinator.
- Improve your English fluency at VIA in Fulltime programs for a minimum of 12 weeks. In order to start applying for jobs, the student must have upper-intermediate English skills.
- Log-on to eslschoolcanada.com and complete a cover letter & resume.
- Interview with a VIA Co-op coordinator to be assigned by VIA to one of our partner companies.

VIA Business English Program
Study hard and believe in yourself! Our Business English course helps students build up necessary vocabulary and expressions to use for interviews and your future workplace. Also, make sure to attend as many VIA business workshops as possible!
