Refund Policy for International Students

(An International Student is a person who is not a Canadian Citizen or a landed immigrant or who has been determined under the Immigration Act to be a Convention Refugee.)

When an International Student enters into a contract with Victoria International Academy, the following refund policy applies:

Visa Related Withdrawals:
1- VIA will retain 25% for students:
A: who are denied Study Permit authorization from Canada Immigration, or
B: do not receive authorization prior to the start of the program of study.
Withdrawals Before the Program Starts:
2- A: If VIA receives written notice of withdrawal more than 30 days before the program starts, VIA will retain the lesser of 25% of tuition or $400.
B: If VIA receives written notice of withdrawal less than 30 days before the program starts, VIA will retain 40% of tuition.
Withdrawals After the Program Starts:
3– A: If VIA receives written notice of withdrawal within 10% of the program VIA will retain 50% of tuition.
B: If VIA receives written notice after 10% of the program there are no refunds.
4. – There are no refunds if a student is dismissed under VIA’s policies, Regarding Student Behaviour.

By agreeing to the conditions of this contract the signee understands that VIA may use student photos and images imprinted and posted materials. In addition, VIA and associated companies will not be held liable for incidents, accidents, or injuries including death while enrolled at VIA. We strive to provide safe environments and work hard to ensure for a positive educational experience.

NOTE: 1: VIA is not recognized by PCTIA and is not bound by their policies.
2: On occasion, students may be taught by TESL student’s doing their practicum.
3: Refunds usually take 30 days to process.
